THAT WAS THE MOST EPIC EPISODE OF MY LIFE. OHMIGOD.
Ragyo and Nui life fiber raping Ryuko is the CREEPIEST THING EVER. But we do find out that the life fibers in Nui’s Body resists all others which is why she can’t use a Kamui’s powers. She chose to become a Grand Courturier to create the ultimate Godrobe for herself. Do people exist to be worn by clothing? Or to actually wear them? Who will prevail? The host or the life fibers?
Ryuko’s transformation into Junketsu’s outfit has her completely brainwashed and crazy. When Nui asks if Ryuko wishes to avenge her father, Ryuko randomly kisses Nui… okay. And then heads off to hunt down Satsuki.
Speaking of which, the more I see of Satsuki, the more I’m convinced that she’s the most amazing human being ever. She dons Senketsu and engages Ryuko in battle. Though Senketsu cannot communicate with Satsuki, she’s pretty badass in her ability to synchronize with Satsuki right away. Still, Ryuko proves to be the more skilled of the sisters to manipulate life fibers. Satsuki wields the two parts of Bakuzan with an unyielding resolve to triumph over life fibers. She shows amazing tenacity to transform Senketsu Blade mode, Gale mode and even a transformation of both. As the battle is taking place, Nui is constructing a whole other life fiber (her own or an ultimate life fiber monster?) Ryuko seems content to be worn by Junketsu, her ultimate happiness found in being worn by life fibers. Satsuki calls that a slave’s happiness and the two of them continue to duke it out. However, Senketsu and Satsuki aren’t in sync enough to match Ryuko’s speed and combat prowess. Ryuko repeatedly beats up Satsuki and Satsuki allows it… only to lure her into a combination attack along with the Elite 4. My favourite moment is probably when Ryuko is holding up Satsuki by her throat and Senketsu actually points out how admirable it is for Satsuki to be fully mobile in a life fiber her body rejects. At the same time, when Ryuko strips Satsuki of her kamui, Satsuki shows concern for Senketsu being ripped to pieces.
The combo attack wouldn’t have been made possible without Satsuki’s plan relayed to the Elite 4 through Mako. The ultimate goal is to suck Ryuko from Junketsu by Iori’s suction device. Halfway through the process, Nui intervenes and yanks Ryuko out, claiming that Ryuko’s life fibers have been sewed to Junketsu’s life fibers. As a result, extracting Ryuko from her outfit would result in Ryuko’s death.
At the same time, Ragyo is preparing some grand world takeover with the original life fiber asteroid alien thing which is completely aerial and mobile. She seems to be headed to the fray for the final epic showdown. Even Ragyo’s minions have all been eaten by life fiber aliens for sustenance.
Back to the battle, MAKO INTERVENES and attempts to reason ith Ryuko…. YEAH, MAKO IS THE VOICE OF REASON IN KILL LA KILL. AHAHAH. BUT her comedic relief is badly needed in this dark and emotionally charged episode. Nui makes a move to kill Mako and it’s Senketsu that saves Mako.
Seeems like Satsuki is the only one who can fight Nui head to head, or rather, blade to blade. Although Nui claims that Ryuko completely belongs to Ragyo, Satsuki points out that if Ryuko is truly completely on their side, Satsuki questions Nui’s reluctance to give Ryuko the other half of her scissor blade. Satsuki declares their assured victory through this conclusion. In her desperation, Nui orders Ryuko to kill Mako and Senketsu. Senketsu claims that he will protect Mako to the end because Ryuko killing Mako would hurt her more than anything else in the world. It would also hurt me more than anything else in the world as well as all the Mako-fans out there. Luckily, Mako’s too much of a main character for her death to be a possibility. Satsuki wedges a piece of Junketsu out and Satsuki orders Mako to throw Senketsu into the tangle of Ryuko’s life fibers to pull Ryuko out of her delusion. This black river of life fiber explosion magic happens, tossing Mako and Senketsu out of her consciousness. As Nui declares the final blow on our heroes, Ryuko hurls the scissor sword into Nui’s back, sending her flying and Ryuko proceeds to RIP FUCKING JUNKETSU OFF OF HER BODY. THE RAIN OF BLOOD!!! HOLY CRAP. RYUKO SEEMS TO HAVE SURVIVED IT.
OHMIGODDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD SOMEONE PLEASE GIVE ME THE NEXT EPISODE NOW BECAUSE I. NEED. TO. KNOW. WHAT. HAPPENS NEXT. MOREVER, I REALLY WANT TO SEE RYUKO AND SATSUKI AND THE REST OF THE CHARACTERS GO UP AGAINST RAGYO AND THE FREAKISH LIFE FIBER MONSTERS.
