This week for Kamigami no Asobi, school life continues to proceed smoothly and Tsukito has become the disciplinary committee member… lol okay?
Tsukito catches Hades sneaking rice cakes for lunch and confiscates them. Loki is caught for all his toys, games and candies. He nearly harasses Yui for randomly grabbing her skirt… just before he passes out. Tsukito has literally no idea how social cues work nor is he able to take care of himself as a human. Still, I admire Tsukito’s discipline as s student. Thoth-sensei on the other hand is not as forgiving. His nicknames of the gods are still pretty hilarious though XD
To help Tsukito better understand school life in order to graduate, Loki suggests he try falling in love. He brings out a set of lovers rings for Tsukito and Yui that binds their fingers together and when other gods attempt to pull the rings apart, they get shocked… I’m surprised how Thor can get shocked too even though he’s the god of thunder…
Until the bearers of the ring come to an understanding of each other, the rings will not disconnect. Loki encourages Tsukito to go through the things that couples usually do. Tsukito is so dense about these things that he WRITE THEM DOWN! Geez. This is so awkward. Tsukito asks Yui to kiss him right then and there in front of everyone. Takeru, Apollon and Baldr all interfere. HAHAHA Loki’s a pretty amusing character. Thoth soon finds out about the rings but still refuses to clean up their mess haha. Loki’s meddling is both frustrating and vastly entertaining at the same time. Naturally, the others are all eavesdropping and following. Intense jelly feelings all around regarding Tsukito’s closeness with Yui.
Fans of Ai from Uta no Prince-Sama will probably really like Tsukito because they both lack any EQ whatsoever… (though Ai has a good reason)
That night, the gang is dressed up in kimonos for a Japanese sweets party… I have no idea how Yui and Tsukito got changed or got their kimonos on without ending up in an intensely embarrassing moment. A lot of Tsukito’s dialogue is vague but they do experience some deeper heart-to-heart connection which diffused the spell binding the rings.
Tsukito isn’t really one of my favourite characters so I’m more or less neutral about this episode. I’m looking forward to the darker stories of Baldr and Loki cause if you’ve played the game, there’s a lot of tragedy behind those characters.
What are you pondering today?
