Wow I really hope we get more Rin and Sousuke childhood scenes because they’re so cute. You can’t really ever tell what Sousuke is thinking. It’s clear he cares a lot about swimming and a lot about Rin but he definitely isn’t comfortable with the Iwatobi swimming guys.
I swear, Nagisa strawberry powder is gonna be a thing. (I wouldn’t be surprised if they sold it as merch)
Lots of the “future” conflict comes up. Although Haru gets scouted as does Rin, Haru isn’t as sure about where he wants to go. Makoto is thinking about university but still unsure. Everyone is focused more on the relay this episode. Sousuke is pretty into swim times and for him, it’s easy to swap one teammate out for another even though it’s a pretty difficult decision for Rin. It’s nice to see Momotarou get more screen time though I feel bad for Ai because a kouhai has surpassed him. I guess no matter how you feel, when it comes down to it, it’s your time that matters.
Man when I saw Sousuke pass Ai, I was sort of scared for Ai cause he’s so timid and Sousuke is so intimidating. Sousuke cheers Ai up with advice that Rin would probably say. Sousuke really isn’t a very vocal character even though he’s clearly conflicted about a lot of things. Although Rin really loves his friends, Sousuke has yet to acknowledge Haru and the others.
The race isn’t as emotionally-charged as the other ones in this episode. The energy level just isn’t as high. Due to Makoto’s late reaction time, the Samezuka team gets an extra edge in first place. Plus, there was just no way that Rei could have out-swam Sousuke. Haru was the best shot at catching up and it really came down pretty close but in the end Rin won. Rei is probably the most competitive when it comes to beating Samezuka.
Yo. Rin doing pull-ups at the gym is hot. I wish we got more Sousuke work-out scenes too.
Rin and Sousuke have a pretty intense scene in this episode because Rin thought Sousuke would definitely understand something after swimming the relay. Sousuke still seems conflicted though… and he wants to swim more and more to figure himself out.
I loved the scene between Haru and Rei where Rei reminds Haru that no matter what he does, as long as he’s free at heart, he’ll always be free. Still, other than competitive swimming what can Haru REALLY do as a career because he doesn’t seem that invested in other things.
WHO IS THAT MYSTERIOUS ORANGE HAIRED CHARACTER IN THE PREVIEWS!?!?!? I am SOO CURIOUS OMG.
What are you pondering today?
