We return to the wonderful world of otome this season with Bonjor Koiaji Patisserrie, a show that combines two of my favourite things – GORGEOUS BISHOUNEN BOYS and DELICIOUS DESSERTS!!! OMNOMNOMNOMNOM
WARNING: This show is fairly nich for fangirls of the otome genre or anime-fans looking for a bishounen reverse-harem story. Other anime-viewers should avoid if none of this suits your taste.
Our heroine, Sayuri Haruno arrives at Fleurir Confectionary School on a scholars)hip, eager and ready to start the day. Naturally, our protagonist is sweet, cute and kind-hearted which naturally captivates ALL our male characters. The first episode serves to settle Sayuri and the audience into the school setting as well as show off the lovely new cast of boys in this otome. But even as the animation shows off how gorgeous these boys are, Sayuri has no intentions to date (duh cause she’s the heroine aiming for dat anime harem ending) and decides to focus on schoolwork and patisserie-making… AND OF COURSE there’s a school rule that students and instructors can NEVER date. So I guess that rule was created by whatever principle that noticed how attractive the school’s instructors were? Weird rule. It’s otome. Don’t worry about it LOL
I love how the characters look. Bless Utako Yukihiro and her wonderful designs. If you’re a fan of the popular franchise Uta no Prince-sama you should definitely check this out for similar visuals. The short and fun series is really only five to six minutes long every week with twenty-four episode in total. I don’t expect a whole lot of depth in each of these episode but I’m in it for the animation, the cutesy light romance and some of the eye candy. The cast is also fairly attractive comprising the voices of Tetsuya Kakihara, Ryouhei Kimura, Kaito Ishikawa, Hikaru Midorikawa and Yui Ishikawa (as the heroine).
What are you pondering today?
