“Let’s write a song that blends together all of your passions.” – Nanami
Episode 10 Rating: 4/5 happy clouds
It’s about that time of the season for individual character threads to converge in one epic finale. It begins with Nanami’s trip with Quartet Night. She’s been tasked with writing a song for Quartet Night to sing at Triple S. It seems like despite the two groups being label mates, STARISH and Quartet Night are still competing when it comes down to it.
Quartet Night seems pretty hyped (as hyped as any of them could be) to be working together on this new song. This is, after all a new experience for them, working on their own song. The vibe is so different. STARISH are clearly go-getter newbies while the four senpai in Quartet Night are just perpetually unimpressed with anything the industry throws at them hahaha. Even their individual music styles differ which makes music brainstorming discussions rather amusing. Poor Reiji, his enthusiasm is forever being tamped down by his members XDD
It never ceases to amaze me that Nanami, wandering out at night, looking for music inspiration, ends up bumping into each of her male friends. Ahhhh Nanami if only you knew how lucky you are. Quartet Night needs to get better with expressing their emotions to one another, rather than speaking cryptically to Nanami. Once they hear Nanami’s song however, they really get pumped for their new project. DAYUM THE NEW QUARTET NIGHT SONG IS SOOOOOO GOOOD. PROPS TO YOU NANAMI!!!
I CAN’T WAIT TO HEAR QUARTET NIGHT SING THIS AT AN UTAPRI LIVE AHHHHHHHHHH
Episode 11 Rating: 4/5 curiously excited clouds
Ahhh I’ll never get tired of Nanami’s opening narrations…
Shining Saotome DOES NOT seem happy that there’s all this hype over STARISH and Triple S. Tension heats up between STARISH and Quartet Night as Triple S approaches… as Quartet Night members have kept Nanami hidden in their personal mansion for song writing, STARISH is all up in worries over Triple S and their favourite composer. Seriously what are the odds that six boys would fall for the same girl but oh the joys of the otome world T v T *weeps sparkly fangirl tears*
STARISH welcomes Nanami back to them and THEY SING TO HER OMG HARUKA HOW HAVE YOU NOT PASSED OUT YET THERE ARE SIX CUTE BOYS SINGING AT YOU.
OMG LOVE LOVE LOVE THE NEW STARISH SONG!!!!! I mean, I will never love any STARISH song as much as Mirai Chizu but this one also has really beautiful lyrics.
While Season three of Uta no Prince-sama might not have the same fluid plot or drama as season one or two, it still has the same amount of happy feels and heart. The teamwork feels are real. Before STARISH can even ask Nanami to write a song, she’s already prepared one for them. Seriously Nanami you are a composing genius. Personally I think all Quartet Night songs are a bit catchier than STARISH songs cause they have slight edge, and they aren’t afraid to sing songs in the minor key. STARISH songs are just really really happy and sparkly hahaha. I guess both groups have their great points.
The boys ends up composing and working through the night. The next morning, Ringo stumbles upon their new song. HOT DAYUM. She/He (Nakamura Yuuchi) wakes them up. Everyone is exhausted, including Nanami who’s passed out over the piano. Nice to see Ringo is on their side.
NO IDEA WHAT REACTION THAT WAS SHINING. THE MAN EXPLODED WITH LIGHT AND LEFT US ON A CLIFFHANGER. THANKS SHINING. HOW VERY SHINING OF YOU.
