Hey guys! I am super excited to share you guys the K-On themed photography that I did with my set of H K-On! Tea Time in Wonderland Ichiban Kuji set by Banpresto.

I absolutely fell in love with this series of dolls when I found them in Japan and I went about scouring Electric Town for the full collection. I was inspired to come up with a separate little story and I started with Mugi. My last shots with Azusa were more challenging because I didn’t know what to do with her! In the end, I changed it up with a K-OnXMy Neighbour Totoro Crossover. Since I loved the Wonderland theme, I wanted the photo to portray Azusa stepping into Wonderland (or in this case, Totoro’s world), for the first time. I tried to keep things sweet and fairytale-like overall and played around with a few of the coloured filters which was especially prominent in bringing out the blue in Mugi’s eyes. The only touch-ups were in some brightness and a bit contrast as always.
All of these photos were taken with a D3100 basic Nikon DSLR and an AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR. Normally I don’t use the kit lens a lot because I’m really into extreme close-ups or super wide- fisheye distortions with my shots. The 18-55mm range is usually a family gathering, snapshots for fun kind of lens for me. Ideally I would prefer my Sigma 17-70mm f/2.8-4 DC Macro however that lens is currently under maintenance and I won’t be picking that up till at least tomorrow.
Despite the change-up in lens styles, I’m really pleased with how these photos turned out and I hope you guys like them!!
Today has been a very K-On filled day, wouldn’tcha say? Thank you so much for dropping in and if you enjoyed this post remember to hit like or follow for new stuff that’s coming every day!
