Cloudy Says…

Hello everybody! I haven’t talked to you guys in a Cloudy Says post for a while because there has been so much going on. I had Chinese New Year’s and then Reading Week and then the Canadian Autoshow and then Midterms and then I got sick. In fact, I’m still sort of sick but I’m trying to get over it because life doesn’t wait on those buried in mountains of tissues and unwashed dishes.

Konata

Are you guys keeping up with all the current episodes? This week we looked at…

Kill La Kill Episode 20

Tokyo Ravens Episodes 18 and 19 + Episode 20

Nobunaga the Fool Episode 7

As well, other posts include the KidRobot Haul, Haganai Out of the Box and REDLINE the Movie Review

This coming week will brings us reviews and rants for… D-Frag Episode 8 and 9 Review, Nobunaga the Fool Episode 8, Tokyo Ravens Episode 21 and Kill La Kill Episode 21

In a few days, there will be an Out of the Box coming soon for a Nendoroid Petit figure and hopefully I can get to manga review for the first two officially released copies of Dictatorial Grimoire. I also want to make a post on the new UtaPri songs that have come out and just yesterday I placed an order for some wonderful Shingeki no Kyojin merch so there will be a feature for that in a few weeks when my packages come. I can post at regular hours now because internet is finally working steadily at my apartment. Yeah, fingers crossed. This is all just a rough outline of things to come in March but because of my hectic schedule, this Cloudy Says might just help me stay on track.

It is still winter in Canada where I live and it is absolutely horrible. I can’t wait till spring comes because convention season will be all that closer when the snow and ice melts. Wherever you are and wherever you live, I hope you are staying warm and happy this March. We are getting close to the wrap up of many winter series and both of the fall series that have carried past the twelve episode mark. I’m super excited to see Tokyo Ravens and Kill La Kill wrap up (even though I will sorely miss Kill La Kill when it ends). Thank you guys for reading and I will talk to you all soon!

What are you pondering today?

Cloudy Says…

Heyhey how are you all? I hope you’re well. We haven’t really had an update for a while now so I thought this would be a good time to check in. If you’re a new follower on littlecloudcuriosity, welcome! Cloudy Says posts are basically updates from me to you so you can keep tabs on what I’m planning in the next few weeks. Tonight I’m headed to the Just Kidding Films talk at the University of Toronto and I’m super excited. I’ve been following JK Films on Youtube for years now and tonight’s is their first time visiting. YAY

Lately I have been super swamped with midterms and assignments and extra curricular club activities that I feel like I haven’t been too hyped about blog content. Plus Internet at my apartment in Kingston is just so bad I’m ready to bash the router. Stupid winter power outages…

Anyway, this week is my reading week/study week and I’m hoping I can up on some chillax photography to showcase my latest Out of the Box post. To be honest, there hasn’t been a lot of new merch out so I keep scouring the Internet for interesting things to show u guys. How do you guys feel about Asian Snack Features? Like strange new flavors of pocky or weird sorts of snacks that I just happen to come across. Think of it like Snacking with Cloudy and it’ll be a great way for me to share some of my favourite anime marathon noms with you guys.

Despite multitasking like a hundred things at once I’m still trying to keep up with the latest anime episodes every week. Kill La Kill and Tokyo Ravens seem to be heating up intensely alarm last season. As for this season, Nobunaga the Fool, Nisekoi and D-Frag! are going pretty strong.I have also been diligently following Hamatora cause it’s just so awesome and I will be posting a full review of the series when it finishes. The same goes for Pupa which I decided to keep on my watch list cause the episode wraps up in the time it takes for me to eat a piece of chocolate. A new Out of the Box feature will be out sometime this week so keep an eye out for that as well!!

Also, I recently got word of my international exchange application and I’ve been offered to go to Manchester, England in September for an entire year!! I am super excited to see what they have in store for me in Europe and I can’t wait to share some of my travel photography with you guys as well. That’s still a little ways down the road but if you guys have any travel tips for me for England, I’d appreciate it a ton!

I hope you guys liked this update and thank you guys so much for dropping in. I’m going to look around for new stuff to post but for now you can expect steady anime reviews coming out every week. Hopefully my blogger’s block goes away soon!!!

What are you pondering today?

Quickie Cloudy Says…

Hey guys, how are you all?

Ai_KyoukaiNoKanata_littlecloudcuriosity

I’ve been super busy these last few days just because of all the Chinese New Year’s festivities but regular reviews will be returning this week. As February dawns upon us, here are the five anime series I’m still keeping up with at the moment. It’s unfortunate that I can only review five due to schoolwork and other commitments but there must be limits. I really wanted to officially follow Hamatora but I’m not very good at critiquing mystery anime. Maybe later down the road I’ll dip my toes deeper into that genre (for now I’m following it unofficially). This week be sure to look out for…

Nisekoi Episode 4

Kill La Kill Episode 15 and 16 Rant

Tokyo Ravens Episode 16 and 17 Review

Nobunaga the Fool Episode 5 Review

D-Frag! Episode 5 Review

I also finished the full Strobe Edge manga because the end of volume 8 left me in a really awful cliff hanger point in the plot so that’ll be up as well.

This weekend I FINALLY FINALLY got around to watching Frozen and I know I am so behind on the hype but I absolutely loved it and I can’t wait to write up my thoughts and post them. I’ve also become relatively obsessed with the soundtrack lately…

If any reviews are delayed, it’s because I have two big essays due next Monday but I’ll try my best to have all these up by the end next week. As well, another Out of the Box feature is coming soon!

What are you pondering today?

Cloudy Says Cheers!!

Hey guys, haven’t done a Cloudy Says in a while so I have lots of new news for you guys. First of all… HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!! 明けましておめでとうございます (Akemashite Omedetōgozaimasu) and  新年快樂!! Second of all, thank you all for a wonderful 2013 here on Little Cloud Curiosity. I’d like to thank each and every one of you for stopping by, clicking around and reading.

K-On Tea Party

I’ve decided that during the in between season of anime to focus a bit on manga series. I do love reviewing new manga very much and I’m not going to do a list this time because I’ve realized that I review a lot on inspiration so I don’t end up following those lists very well. If I have a flash of inspiration pertaining to the Light Otaku Rants, I will definitely write those too. For anime, continuing from the fall Season into winter is Tokyo Ravens and Kill La Kill (whoo!) so this in between period is a great way to rewatch the series or reread some reviews to remember what happened in the first half before the second half begins. I’m working on the post for the new winter season as of right now. If you would like a list of all my fall season anime, check out the anime season page at the top or scroll through the side bar. If you’re looking for a rundown of the latest posts, check out the Recent Posts widget at the bottom.

This week I reworked some categories in the right bar so hopefully some reviews are easier to find. All the rants have been split from Light Otaku Living into the Light Otaku Rants category and all the manga reviews have been re-categorized as well.  Here is some fanart from Kill La Kill to welcome 2014, Mako’s positive determination is a great way to kick off the new year.

I hope you all had a great year wherever you are and here’s to more great things in the New Year. Cheers!!!

What are you pondering today?

Cloudy (frantically) Says…

First of all, for everyone who has assignments and exams soon, GANBATTE AND GOOD LUCK!! FIGHTO!!!!

Sleep, Eat, Study, Exam, right? ( ´_ゝ`)

Yui and Mio Studying

Overall, I just wanted to let you guys know that the reason I’ve seen off the blogosphere for a while is because of school stuff OTL I’m a fairly organized person and I don’t procrastinate much unless I’m following the end of a series that’s REALLY GOOD in which case, I stop everything in my life for it, but university work is a completely otherworldly load of work that’s completely unmanageable especially when we get into these last few weeks of November when it’s essay season. (I know, I still have to review Shingeki no Kyojin/Attack on Titan, I’m getting lots of pressure from friends to do that – and I will get to it! I hope…)

Now here’s a list of everything that you’ll see in the following weeks… they’ll more or less be out soon…

Anime Reviews

– Kill La Kill Episode 8-9 rant

– Diabolik Lovers Episode 9-10 rant and review

– Log Horizon Episode 7-8 rant

– Kyoukai no Kanata Episode 9 review

– Tokyo Ravens Episode 7 review

^As always, these series are ongoing^ if you guys have any anime series you would like to see reviews of, post in the comments and I’ll definitely find time to do a first impressions review of them during the holidays. If you guys want to see last week’s posts please check out these links

What are you pondering today?

Cloudy Says…

Hey guys, I’ve had a pretty crappy week this week. There have been tests, essays, school issues, house issues and the weather’s just been horrible. Blogging usually takes my mind off my worries so I’ve decided to post a Cloudy Says because we haven’t had one of these in a while.

If you’ve been following my tweets, you probably know that I just got a new phone. It’s a Samsung Galaxy Note III and even though it’s HUGE, it lets me blog and interact with social media everywhere I go so it’s absolutely fantastic compared to my old phone. I’m not trying to promote Samsung LOL. I totally paid for this phone and my wallet still hurts but the trade off is that I can carry my manga with me on an electronic app called MangaSearcher wherever I go, allowing me more time to read manga on the go which is great for me and for you guys cause there will be at least one manga review every week.

Speaking of Wednesday, it just so happens that every week around this time of the week, I feel inspired to write about a manga series so starting today, every Wednesday (or roughly this time in the week) there’s going to be a Midweek Manga Review. This gives me and you a relatively solid day for when manga reviews are going to be posted so please look out for that every week. I’ll be tweeting about it on Tuesday nights as well.

Series continuously being reviewed -> Kyoukai no Kanata, Log Horizon, Diabolik Lovers, Kill La Kill, Tokyo Ravens

If you’re following me for seasonal anime reviews, rants and screenshots, thank you very much for your support! And if you’re specifically following Kyoukai no Kanata, produced by Kyoto Animation and aired every Wednesday, you may or may not have heard that the ending song “Daisy,” sung by Stereo Dive Foundation has been recently leaked. I don’t blame them, the songs is really catchy and it’s one of my favourite songs this fall season. If you haven’t heard it, have a listen from the player below or click the mediafire link for the download.

Here’s the opening song as well…

Also, both the opening and ending songs of Kill La Kill and Golden Time have been released. Only the opening for Tokyo Ravens is out, the ending song will be released towards the end of November.

I hope you’re all well wherever you are!

What are you pondering today?

Cloudy the Ghost Says…

Just wanted to drop in and wish you guys a HAPPY HALLOW’S EVE!!!!!

Posting has been slowing down a bit recently because my laptop is having so many problems. So I’ll try my best to catch. up our fall anime reviews for Tokyo Ravens, Kyoukai no Kanata and another Kill La Kill rant this weekend! (Pssst, there might be a Clannad After Story review coming very soon)

In the manga section…. Missions of Love 5, Haganai 4 (maybe), and a new old series I started reading that’s a secret till it gets posted 😉

Blood-CDo you guys want to see some fanart? Then hit me a like or comment on what character you want me to draw. I’ve been busy with lots of school stuff but I’ll definitely try to fit in some visual arts if you want some of those posts.

What are you guys watching for Halloween? I might put on some Blood-C to go with a hot chocolate and pumpkin sugar cookies tonight. The anime is done by CLAMP so the art is reminiscient of their classic long and slender style. The story, however, is a little dark and falls into the supernatural genre so it’ll be nice to set the mystery mood tonight

I hope you guys have a safe and fun Halloween!! =)
